Q. Are there any other hostels on Crete?
A.There are hostels in Iraklio, Chania, Rethymno, Matala and our hostel here in Plakias.

A. We´ve celebrated a 76th birthday in the hostel and one wonderful lady who stayed two weeks was 80. We do have reservations about taking children under 5 as they would be sharing with other people.

A. No. Stays of over 3 months are not unusual.

A. The price for a bed is 12.50 to 16 EUR per night depending on the season and duration of your stay and if zyou book directly with us.
Bookings are only possible for 2 and more nights.
Q. Do I need to make a reservation?
A. From May to October the hostel is full most of the time. It is "first come - first served". We recomend to use our website to reserve a bed. You can also contact us by email or phone (+30 28320 32118) to check availability prior to your arrival.

A. Reception is open from 8.30am to 12 noon and from 6 to about 8pm. If you arrive in the afternoon just leave your bags in the reception and wander off to the beach until after 6pm, PLEASE do not try to find a vacant bed. If you arrive at night try to find a vacant bed and pay in the morning.
Q. Where is Plakias?
A. About 35km south of Rethymno, a large town on the north coast of Crete. There are about 6 buses a day from Rethymno to Plakias during the peak season, the last being at 19:30hrs. During the winter there are just two buses a day, the last being at 14:15hrs. In the spring and autumn the bus schedule is somewhere between the summer and winter timetables.
Q. Do I need to bring a sleeping bag or beddings?
A. No. The beds will be made up with a fresh bottom sheet and a fresh pillow case when you arrive.
Linens and blankets are available from the reception without charge. We recommend to bring an own towel (but we got also towles for rent for a small washing fee).

A. Yes. We got some quiet places in the hostel which are good for homeoffice work. Electric outlets are everywhere and we got a fast and stable Wifi.
