Dear friends and friends that I have yet to meet,

I am well aware that Greece has been receiving some pretty negative press around the world. Greece has problems; that's a fact. But many of the things that the media write and talk about are exaggerated, not true or exist just in the big cities.

I wish to reassure you that Plakias remains much the same as it has been for many years. You will still enjoy the sunshine, the beautiful nature, the amazing beaches, the traditional mountain villages, the friendly locals and the fair prices.
Don't let the media put you off - come and join the fun.
